Salamu Alykum Everyone, We pray that this note finds you in a high spiritual state and with a heart filled with love for all things and especially our Shaykh, our Prophet (pbuh) and Allah (swt). We have recently completed the analysis of our Retreat survey and wanted to share it with all of you. Alhamdulilah we had a beautiful May Retreat and the results of the survey confirm that most attendees felt the same way. (See the full survey summary pictures below) WE ALSO HAVE A WINNER FOR OUR PRAYER BEAD DRAW: CONGRATULATIONS TO: Sister NURIYYA. We will contact you shortly to arrange shipment. In short, we had 27 respondents to the survey, which is a statistically valid number to draw conclusions from, especially considering the results we received. Some Highlights from the survey: Demographics: 1. This was the first retreat for 37% of attendees 2. About half of attendees came by plane Program and Schedule: 1. 90% enjoyed all aspects of the program; 100% enjoyed most of the program 2. Program suggestions were many, including: More Qur'an practice sessions, all women's Dikr session, and doing parallel programs Meals: 1. Everyone thought the food was amazing. Printed Materials: 1. Everyone enjoyed having the new English songs and organized booklets, but would like to see an index and a clear tie to the schedule for quick reference. Suggestions for Improvement: There were many suggestions. One often repeated suggestion was that we organize a group Mawlid trip to Morocco. Another suggestion was to start doing more charitable work as a group. Also some suggestions about how to improve the retreat itself.
Insha'Allah we will do our best to make sure these suggestions are incorporated into our tariqa work for the year and in preparation for next year's retreat. But in order to do this we need everyone's help.
